Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of or current enrollment in a diploma program in funeral service or mortuary science.
• Graduation pending from an accredited mortuary college or as required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Care for deceased in a respectful manner including restorations, dressing, hair styling, cosmetics, and transfers.
• Verify identification and embalming authorization; perform removals and transfers.
• Assist with preparation room and facility maintenance.
• Clean equipment and manage hazardous material spills.
• Handle hazardous materials per SDS and maintain safety standards.
• Assist with chemical and supply inventory and receive caskets and supplies.
