Bogner Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services - North Ridgeville, OH

We are seeking a self-motivated apprentice funeral director/embalmer to help us fulfill our mission: providing families with a healing experience through our dedicated team of directors committed to caring and compassionate service. We treat everyone with honesty, respect, and dignity, prioritizing the needs of others. We continuously strive to improve and exceed expectations. Our facilities reflect the attention to detail we give our customers. Our success is measured by customer loyalty and referrals.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Performing all aspects of funeral service, including arranging, conducting, and supervising funerals and life celebrations.
  2. Arranging and supervising preneed funerals.
  3. Meeting and greeting the public.
  4. Transferring remains to the funeral home.
  5. Embaling, cosmetizing, dressing, and casketing remains.
  6. Completing cremations (training provided if not already certified).
  7. Selling funeral merchandise.
  8. Cleaning and sanitizing the funeral home and embalming room.
  9. Maintaining inventories of supplies and merchandise.
  10. Completing necessary paperwork and reports.
  11. Performing data entry in EDRS and related software.
  12. Performing general maintenance and cleaning.
  13. Maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
