Overview

A leading offshore law firm is seeking a motivated Associate to join its Investment Funds practice in the Cayman Islands. You will advise leading investment managers, administrators and institutional clients on the formation, structuring and operation of hedge funds, private equity funds and other alternative vehicles, alongside related regulatory and compliance matters.

Qualifications

Applicants should be qualified lawyers with 3–5 years’ PQE from a Commonwealth jurisdiction, ideally gained with a top-tier law firm or financial services environment. You will ideally bring a strong understanding of Cayman Islands funds law and the regulatory framework, excellent drafting and analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced, client-focused team.

Responsibilities
  • Advising on fund formation, structuring and ongoing operations across hedge, PE and other alternatives.
  • Drafting and reviewing offering documents, subscription agreements and service provider contracts.
  • Guiding clients on Cayman regulatory requirements, including AML, FATCA/CRS and CIMA filings.
  • Liaising with clients, regulators and service providers to ensure smooth operations and compliance.
  • Supporting senior team members with business development and client relationship initiatives.
