Job summary

The Alzheimer’s Association in Savannah, GA is seeking a Manager, Relationship Events to lead the Savannah and Augusta galas, driving revenue and volunteer engagement as outlined in the strategic plan. This full-time role reports to the Sr. Director, Relationship Events.

Key responsibilities include developing relationships with sponsors and volunteers, managing donor fulfillment, and expanding corporate partnerships while upholding the Association’s standards and mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Three years of proven experience in corporate fundraising and relationship building.
• Three years of experience in galas/special events with proven success in fundraising or related activities; strong volunteer management experience essential.
• Demonstrated ability to form and develop relationships and partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all aspects of the Chapter’s Gala and wrap around event(s).
• High-level volunteer recruitment, training, coaching, and management to meet revenue and engagement goals.
• Build relationships with key volunteers, participants, sponsors and community leaders as well as existing and new corporate partners.
• Manage all financial aspects of sponsor and donor fulfillment.
• Prospect, cultivate and steward Gala sponsors and donors to achieve development goals through volunteer networks.
• Maintain year-round relationships with key corporate sponsors, donors and volunteers to ensure involvement in all relevant chapter activities.
• Coordinate with the volunteer planning committee to organize outreach activities promoting the Alzheimer’s Association mission, including community presentations and corporate engagement opportunities.
• Ensure Alzheimer Association’s standards are followed.
• Other duties as assigned and opportunities for professional growth.

Position Summary:

The Manager of Relationship Events is responsible for the implementation of the Coastal (Savannah) Dancing Stars Gala and the Augusta Gala to meet or exceed the budgeted goal through volunteer recruitment and engagement as well as through corporate development. This position will be responsible for the Costal (Savannah) and the Augusta Gala events as well as assisting with the growth and management of other corporate development initiatives per the discretion of the Sr. Director, Relationship Events. Measurable outcomes for this position include; driving volunteer and corporate engagement and revenue growth as identified in the strategic plan. This is a full-time position that reports to the Chapter's Sr. Director, Relationship Events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Three years of proven experience in corporate fundraising and relationship building, recruiting and mobilizing volunteers to achieve goals
• Demonstrated ability to form and develop relationships and partnerships
• Three years of experience in galas/special events required with proven success in, special event fundraising or related activities; strong volunteer management experience essential

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Goal and detailed oriented, with strong organizational, analytical, and planning skills
• Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), and presentation skills
• Adaptive and flexible with an ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and a variety of demands
• Ability to take initiative, and to work independently as well as in a team
• Ability to bend, stoop, lift and transport up to 25 lbs. of materials
• Strong computer skills, proficient with Microsoft Office products and social media; experience with, or ability to rapidly learn Luminate/Convio software
