Job summary

Girls on the Run Hudson Valley is seeking a Development & Grants Manager to grow funding with grant writing, corporate partnerships, and donor stewardship. This part-time role blends hands-on fundraising with relationship-building to support after-school programs for girls in grades 3–8.

Qualifications

• Experience in nonprofit fundraising, grant writing, communications, marketing, sales, or a related field
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Strong organizational and project management abilities
• Experience managing donor or customer databases (CRM experience is a plus)
• Ability to build meaningful relationships with donors, foundations, and community partners
• Passion for the mission of Girls on the Run

Responsibilities

• Grant Strategy & Management
• Research, write, and submit compelling grant proposals
• Maintain an annual grants calendar and reporting schedule
• Prepare grant reports and submit claims
• Build lasting relationships with foundation partners
• Corporate Partnerships: Identify and cultivate new corporate sponsors
• Steward existing sponsor relationships
• Develop sponsorship proposals
• Help businesses connect their philanthropy with meaningful community impact
• Donor Engagement: Process charitable contributions and maintain donor records
• Create thoughtful donor acknowledgements and stewardship communications
• Support annual fundraising campaigns and appeals
• Help strengthen long-term donor relationships
• Events & Community Engagement: Assist with charity athlete fundraising initiatives
• Represent Girls on the Run at community and networking events
• Collaborate with staff to advance development goals
