Job summary

Jewish Family Service of San Diego is seeking an Events Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of fundraising and signature events within the Advancement department. You will collaborate with leadership, donors, vendors, and internal teams to deliver exceptional event experiences and strengthen donor engagement.

This full-time, on-site role reports to the Senior Director of Philanthropy and offers a pay range of $75,000 to $90,000 per year, plus comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Proven experience in planning and executing in-person fundraising events.
• Strong vendor management and coordination of event logistics.
• Demonstrated understanding of fundraising principles and donor engagement strategies.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Proficiency in Raiser's Edge or a comparable donor database system.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leadership to design in-person events that engage donors.
• Create and execute detailed work plans for events end-to-end.
• Oversee vendor relationships and contract communications.
• Manage event logistics and staff for day-of execution.
• Track event metrics and donor engagement in Raiser's Edge.
• Maintain clear communication with leadership and teams during planning.
• Ensure events support fundraising objectives and donor stewardship.
• Plan seating arrangements and adapt to last-minute changes.
