Job summary

The JCC of Stamford is seeking a Director of Annual Giving, Events and Sponsorships to lead and grow the organization’s donor programs, events, and sponsorships. This strategic, hands-on role requires strong writing, organizational and project management skills to engage donors, manage a portfolio, and partner with volunteers and boards to meet income targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• At least 4 years of nonprofit fundraising or closely related experience, with success in annual giving, events, sponsorships or donor engagement
• Experience planning fundraising events
• Experience with donor databases and fundraising reporting
• Strong writing, organization and project management skills
• Experience developing sponsorship packages
• Experience working with boards and committees
• Office work with regular evening and weekend events
• Ability to stand for extended periods at events and to lift up to 25 pounds

Responsibilities

• Lead the annual campaign, including strategy, segmentation, appeals, renewals and upgrades
• Manage and grow the portfolio of fundraising events, including revenue goals, logistics, volunteers and follow-up
• Build the sponsorship program by developing packages and cultivating local business and corporate partners
• Set contributed income goals with the Vice President of Advancement and report on progress
• Move event attendees and annual donors into deeper giving
• Work with Marketing and Advancement operations on donor communications, gift processing and stewardship
• Recruit and work with volunteer leaders and committees
