Job summary

Reflex Strategy Group in Richmond, VA, seeks a detail-oriented fundraising coordinator to support donor engagement and campaign execution for nonprofit clients.

You will draft emails, schedule meetings, maintain donor data in CRM, and help prepare reports and stewardship materials while ensuring confidentiality and client service. This role offers mainly remote work with travel up to 25% for client meetings and events.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in political science, nonprofit management, communications, marketing, business, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of in-college experience in fundraising, sales, marketing, or a related area.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and fundraising software (NGP, Campaign Deputy, ActBlue, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Support fundraising consultants in the execution of fundraising plans and donor engagement strategies.
  • Assist with donor outreach activities, including drafting correspondence, scheduling meetings, and preparing call time materials.
  • Maintain accurate donor and prospect information within fundraising databases and CRM systems.
  • Conduct donor and prospect research to identify fundraising opportunities and support client strategies.
  • Coordinate logistics for fundraising events, receptions, virtual events, and campaign activities.
  • Prepare donor acknowledgments, event follow-up communications, and stewardship materials.
  • Assist with tracking fundraising progress and generating reports on campaign performance and donor activity.
  • Support compliance-related recordkeeping and reporting efforts.
  • Provide administrative support, including scheduling, document preparation, and meeting coordination.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure exceptional client service and timely deliverables.
  • Enter and update donor data accurately and timely.
  • Draft professional emails, thank-you notes, and donor communications.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding donor, client, and company information.
  • Support special projects and other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES


  • Bachelor's degree in political science, nonprofit management, communications, marketing, business, or a related field.

  • 1-3 years of in-college experience in fundraising, sales, marketing, or a related area.

  • Understanding of and ability to create healthy organizational culture required.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills required.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and experience with fundraising software (e.g., NGP, Campaign Deputy, ActBlue, etc.) is a plus.

EXPECTATIONS


  • Up to 25% travel within the United States for client meetings, trainings, conferences, and events

  • Primarily remote work environment, with in-person attendance required for approved client meetings, trainings, and events as needed

This position is primarily remote and performed from a home office or other approved remote work location. Employees regularly use company-issued desktop or laptop computers, phones, video conferencing platforms, printers, scanners, and other standard office equipment. When attending client meetings, trainings, conferences, or events, employees may work in professional office, meeting, event, or conference environments and may be required to travel and transport materials or equipment necessary to support client engagements.
