Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Funding Specialist at its Arlington, TX headquarters. The role funds auto loans, reviews documents for validity, and delivers excellent service to dealers and applicants.

You will manage funding status communications, maintain records, and ensure compliance with policies and regulations while supporting a smooth origination process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of Auto Originations/Funding experience.
• Proficient in basic PC applications, including Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
• Intermediate to advanced typing and data entry processing skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively as a team member.

Responsibilities

• Communicate loan funding statuses to originators, sales, titles, and leadership.
• Manage relationships with originators.
• Maintain accurate records of all loan funding activities.
• Accountable for managing the Auto Loan origination process from application review through funding.
• Ensures adherence to internal policy and external regulations.
• Support respectful experiences for applicants and dealers throughout the origination and funding process.
• Identify processes and control improvements; communicate findings to the manager.
• Assist with questions, calls, emails, and faxes, and serve as go-to for funding analysts.
• Assist with sorting the manager queue and escalating issues on pending contracts.

Job Details: Job Location: Headquarters - Arlington, TX, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $24.00 - $26.00Hourly, Job Shift: Day,

The Funding Specialist is responsible for funding auto loans while maintaining the highest level of integrity. The Specialist evaluates all documents, programs, and verifications for validity prior to funding the loan. This team member interfaces with and provides superior customer service to internal and external customers (e.g., credit center personnel, automobile dealers, loan applicants).

What You’ll Do

• Communicate loan funding statuses to originators, sales, titles, and leadership.


• Manage relationships with originators.


• Maintain accurate records of all loan funding activities.

• Ensures adherence to internal policy and external regulations.


• Supports respectful experiences for applicants and dealers throughout the origination and funding process.

• Assists with sorting the manager queue and escalating issues on pending contracts.

Are You A Fit?: What You Need

Physical Requirements

• Frequent but minimal physical effort, such as sitting, standing, and walking.


• Occasional moving and lifting of equipment and furniture are required to support onsite and offsite meeting setup and teardown.


• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, kneeling, and climbing ladders.
