You will manage the fund administrator, review their work, and collaborate with the Deals team and other stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely financial statements and responses to investor inquiries.

The role emphasizes improving internal controls, coordinating with external auditors, and driving efficiency across finance processes. 5 days in-office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or similar.
• 3-7 years experience in fund accounting or audit with funds.
• Exposure to US GAAP and ASC 820 valuations; CPA desirable but not required.
• Strong Excel skills; detail oriented and self-starter.

Responsibilities

A successful investment firm based in LA is looking to add a pivotal member to their Finance & Accounting team in the form of a Fund Finance Manager. They will manage the 3rd party administrator as well as review their work, collaborate with the Deals team, and engage with a variety of other internal and external stakeholders.

• Liaise with fund administrator for investments, capital calls, distributions, management fee calculations, and quarterly financial statement reporting
• Respond to various investor requests for reports and information
• Identify opportunities within the finance function to streamline workflows
• Contribute to development of internal financial controls and their implementation
• Act as a liaison with external auditors
• Assist with additional ad hoc projects as needed

Required Skills/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or similar
• 3-7 years experience in a fund accounting and/or audit role working with funds
• CPA desirable but not a prerequisite
• Exposure working with US GAAP and ASC 820 Valuations
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Self-starter, motivated and detail oriented
