Job summary

Confidential Employer is a growing private investment firm seeking a Senior Fund Accountant to own day-to-day financial operations for multiple investment funds from a hybrid office in Arkansas. You will partner with senior leadership, including the CFO/COO, and gain broad exposure to fund accounting, investor reporting, treasury, tax, and audits.

The role focuses on capital calls, distributions, NAV reporting, and investor statements, with significant autonomy and impact as the investment

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of accounting experience.
  • Direct experience with capital calls and fund distributions.
  • Tax preparation or tax return experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of GAAP.
  • Strong Excel skills and comfort with Microsoft 365.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and detail-oriented skills.
  • Professional communication skills and ability to work with internal and external partners.
  • Private investment fund or real estate fund accounting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day financial activities for multiple investment funds.
  • Coordinate with outsourced fund administrators for capital calls, distributions, fee calculations, NAV reporting, and investor statements.
  • Review monthly/quarterly reporting and support LP and co-investor reporting.
  • Assist with reconciliations, transaction research, invoicing, and data management.
  • Support fund modeling, forecasts, and financial analysis with the investment team.
  • Oversee treasury activities, cash positions, and covenant compliance.
  • Coordinate audits, respond to PBCs, and assist with disclosures.
  • Gather financial data for tax returns and review K-1s.

Job description

  • Take ownership of the day-to-day financial operations for a growing private investment platform.
  • Work closely with senior leadership, including the CFO/COO, with meaningful visibility and responsibility.
  • Gain broad exposure across fund accounting, investor reporting, treasury, compliance, tax, and audit.
  • Manage critical fund activities including capital calls, distributions, NAV reporting, and investor capital statements.

Note: Candidates must have 5+ years of accounting experience with direct hands-on experience in capital calls, distributions, tax preparation or tax returns, and audits. Candidates must also be able to work hybrid from either the Fayetteville or Little Rock office.

Job Description
  • Manage day-to-day financial activities for multiple investment funds and related entities.
  • Coordinate with outsourced fund administrators to ensure capital calls, distributions, fee calculations, NAV reporting, and investor capital statements are completed accurately and on time.
  • Review monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages and support accurate Limited Partner and co-investor reporting.
  • Assist with account reconciliations, transaction research, invoice coding, and financial data management.
  • Partner with the investment team on fund modeling, forecasts, and financial analysis.
  • Help manage treasury activities, cash positions, and loan covenant compliance.
  • Coordinate annual audits, manage PBC requests, support audit confirmations, and assist with financial statement disclosures.
  • Gather financial information for tax returns and review tax filings and K-1s prepared by outside accountants.
  • Support regulatory filings, compliance deadlines, financial documentation, and related reporting requirements.
  • Maintain strong communication with fund administrators, accountants, auditors, investors, and internal leadership.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of accounting experience.
  • Direct experience with capital calls and fund distributions.
  • Tax preparation or tax return experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of GAAP.
  • Strong Excel skills and comfort working with Microsoft 365.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and detail-oriented skills.
  • Professional communication skills and ability to work effectively with internal and external partners.
  • Private investment fund, private equity, real estate fund, or alternative investment accounting experience strongly preferred.
