Job summary

Cerberus Capital Management in New York seeks a highly organized Fund Compliance Operations Associate/Analyst to support compliance monitoring, funding coordination, and reporting across multiple funds. The role acts as a liaison between investment professionals, Treasury, Operations, and Finance to ensure accurate funding schedules and allocations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in compliance, investment operations, fund operations, treasury, accounting, financial analysis, fund administration, or related middle/back-office functions.
• Familiarity with capital deployment, fund allocations, liquidity forecasting, and cash management processes.
• Understanding of investment lifecycle events, including deal closings, follow-on investments, reserves, and funding tranches.
• Advanced Excel and MS Office skills, with the ability to work with large datasets.
• Experience with reporting and analytical tools such as Power BI, Anaplan, SAP BI, or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with Visual Portfolio Manager, Bloomberg terminal, and IVP Polaris.
• Experience with programming or automation tools such as SQL, Python, and/or PowerApps.

Responsibilities

• Review and maintain accurate compliance rules per Investment Guidelines.
• Liaise with Legal to interpret language and provide feedback for guidelines.
• Coordinate with Operations for meta maintenance and ongoing monitoring.
• Create relevant rules in the compliance monitoring system (Polaris).
• Monitor alerts and breaches daily with documented follow-up actions.
• Track MSCI ACWI index and update as needed.
• Update Procedures Manual and adhere to checklists.
• Coordinate with deal professionals for funding schedules.
• Review funding requests for completeness and consistency with allocations.
• Perform reconciliations of funding, allocations, and activity for liquidity planning.
• Investigate funding discrepancies across records and reports.
• Assist in managing investments in the Global Deal Workflow platform.
