Job summary

BNY Mellon is seeking an IC1 Fund/Client Accountant to assist in accounting services for assigned clients and funds, including cash and asset reconciliations, expense allocations, and preparing client reports.

Under supervision, you will support service improvement plans, respond to client inquiries, and help drive process enhancements. A Bachelor’s degree in accounting and 0–3 years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in accounting or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• 0-3 years of total work experience preferred.
• Experience in accounting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in conducting accounting services on behalf of assigned clients and funds including driving Service Improvement plans, targeting efficiencies, enhancing processes and specialist review functions, allocating expenses and preparing reports.
• Responsible for cash and asset reconciliations related to assigned funds and performs reconciliation of account expenses and ensures they are allocated appropriately.
• Escalates complex transactions to senior team members and prepares first draft reports for clients regarding the performance of the fund.
• No direct reports; may have people management responsibilities in some geographies.
