Job summary

Standish Management, LLC is seeking an accounting assistant to support day-to-day operations and prepare fund-level financial statements. This role involves updating investment schedules, partner equity allocations, and analyzing complex transactions for multiple fund families.

You will assist with audits, tax review, fundraising, capital calls, and distribution of K-1s to Limited Partners, under supervision of managers. Strong Excel skills and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 1-2 years of experience in a full-time role.
• Strong academic performance (minimum 3.0 GPA).
• Proficiency with Excel in Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks is a plus.
• Knowledge of various investment accounting concepts.
• Attention to detail; ability to multitask.
• Ability to work in a team and individually; good communication.
• Strong organizational skills and work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements for several domestic and offshore fund families, updating schedules and allocations.
• Assist with the internal semi-annual portfolio review process and track financial performance.
• Monitor compliance with partnership agreements.
• Assist with audits, tax return review, fundraising and annual meetings.
• Determine cash needs of partnerships and initiate capital calls.
• Distribute financials, K1s, capital calls and notices to Limited Partners.
• Perform special projects as requested by General Partners and Controllers.
• Interact with ad hoc limited partner requests.

Essential Functions

• Prepare financial statements for several domestic and offshore fund families, which includes updating portfolio investment schedules, partner equity allocations and analyzing complex investment transactions
• Help with the internal semi-annual portfolio review process, analyzing and tracking partnership and portfolio company financial performance
• Monitor compliance with complex partnership agreements
• Assist with audits, tax return review, fundraising and annual meeting activities
• Determine cash needs of partnerships and initiate capital calls
• Electronically distribute financials, K1s, capital call and distribution notices to Limited Partners
• Perform special projects as requested by the General Partners and Controllers
• Interact with and respond to ad hoc limited partner requests

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance related field
• 1-2 years of experience in a full-time role
• Strong academic performance (minimum 3.0 GPA)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel

Compensation (varies by location):

• Boston: $74,000+
• Actual compensation will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience and qualifications.
