Job summary

Orion Placement in Provo, Utah seeks an experienced Fund Accounting Manager to own accounting across multiple investment vehicles, manage allocations and reporting, and lead a small team. This in-person role collaborates with GPs and investment professionals to deliver accurate statements and insights.

You will interpret LPAs, side letters, and complex deal terms, coordinate with external auditors, and drive process improvements using Excel and AI-enabled tools.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in fund accounting or fund administration.
• Experience supervising or managing at least one team member.
• Strong understanding of fund structures, allocations, waterfalls, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Experience interpreting LPAs and side letters.

Responsibilities

• Own fund accounting and reporting across client relationships.
• Manage allocations, capital activity, waterfalls, and investor accounts.
• Interpret LPAs/side letters and translate terms into reporting.
• Coordinate with external auditors and support year-end processes.
• Provide guidance to junior team members and strengthen controls.
• Communicate professionally with GPs and institutional investors.
