Atlas Search is seeking an experienced Director of Fund Accounting to lead the day-to-day accounting and administration of multiple private investment funds. The role serves as a senior contact for key stakeholders and requires hands-on technical fund accounting, client relationship management, and team leadership.

The Director will review deliverables, manage complex fund structures, develop junior professionals, and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting while coordinating with auditors

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• 7+ years of fund accounting experience within private equity, private markets, fund administration, or similar.
• Hands-on experience preparing and reviewing fund accounting workpapers and financial statements.
• Advanced experience with capital calls, distributions, investor allocations, and complex waterfall models.

A financial services firm is seeking an experienced Fund Accounting Director to join its growing alternative investments team.

This individual will oversee the day-to-day accounting and administration of multiple private investment funds while serving as a senior point of contact for key stakeholders. The role requires a combination of hands-on technical fund accounting, client relationship management, and team leadership.

The Director will have significant responsibility for reviewing fund accounting deliverables, managing complex fund structures, developing junior professionals, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day accounting and fund administration for multiple private investment funds.
• Maintain hands-on involvement in the preparation and review of workpapers, investment activity, accruals, financial statements, footnotes, and investor allocations.
• Review and approve NAV calculations and other fund-level accounting deliverables.
• Oversee capital calls, distributions, investor allocations, and complex waterfall calculations.
• Review IRR and other fund performance calculations.
• Oversee the initial setup of new funds and related accounting and reporting deliverables.
• Perform detailed review and sign-off on capital calls, distributions, financial statements, waterfalls, and other key deliverables.
• Review partnership agreements, investment agreements, and other legal documents to determine appropriate accounting and allocation treatment.
• Maintain regular communication with senior internal and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate with auditors, attorneys, banking partners, and other third-party service providers.
• Lead, direct, mentor, and develop fund accounting professionals across multiple levels.
• Manage multiple funds, priorities, and reporting deadlines simultaneously.
• Support special projects and broader operational initiatives as needed.
• Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes, controls, and reporting.
