The SEI Corporation Investment Fund Services division is expanding its accounting team. As a Fund Accountant, you will act as the official record keeper for mutual funds, CITs, ETFs, and other pooled vehicles, calculating daily investable cash, expenses and income, and reporting NAVs.

This entry-level role includes training and mentorship; you will communicate fund activities to clients and support year-end audits in GAAP, collaborating with a diverse team to grow your career at SEI.

Qualifications

  • BA / BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
  • Internship experience preferred.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills as you will primarily support your clients through email and/or phone calls.
  • Strong customer service skills as you will be communicating daily with your clients and other service providers.

Responsibilities

  • Calculate funds' daily investable cash, expenses and income and report NAVs.
  • Process shareholders' activity and perform reconciliations to the fund's transfer agent.
  • Communicate fund transactions with investment managers and clients to provide accounting packages.
  • Support year-end audit engagements in accordance with GAAP.

Our primary goal is to provide exceptional accounting and administration servicing for our clients’ assigned mutual funds, CITs, ETFs and other pooled vehicles. As a Fund Accountant, you will act as an intermediary between the funds and their investment managers and serve as the official record keeper for the funds. This is an entry level position, where training and support will be provided.What you will do:* Your skills in accounting will be used by calculating the funds’ daily investable cash, expenses, and income. You will calculate and report the funds’ daily Net Asset Values (NAV’s). You will process shareholders’ activity and perform timely reconciliations to the fund’s transfer agent. You are responsible to communicate the transactions associated with the fund(s) and work closely with internal and external clients to provide accurate and thorough accounting packages* As the record keeper for the funds, you will be involved in the support of various year-end audit engagements in accordance with GAAP accounting standards* You will correspond with external investment managers regarding day-to-day fund inquiries including entering security trades, fee payments, cash position breaks, and reconciliations.
