Job summary

SEI Corporation in Oaks, PA is seeking an Assistant Manager for our Alternative Investment Funds team. You will supervise fund accounting staff, assist the Fund Accounting Manager, and ensure accurate NAV calculations, reconciliations, and timely reporting under GAAP.

You will coordinate with internal and external clients, support year-end audits, and drive process improvements, training analysts, and maintaining premier service standards across multiple client deliverables.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 4 years in the fund services industry, alternatives preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years supervisory/management experience.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of Investran, Investier and Geneva systems preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of trade processing and accounting for equities, fixed income and derivatives.
  • Strong problem solving, organizational and communication skills.
  • Project management experience a plus; customer service focus.

Responsibilities

  • Support Fund Accounting Manager and supervise staff in daily/weekly/monthly fund activities.
  • Perform NAV reconciliations and prepare accounting reports for hedge and private equity holdings.
  • Coordinate year-end audits and ensure GAAP compliance.

## Assistant Manager, Alternative Investment FundsApply: USA - PA - Oaks: Full time: Posted Yesterday: R0038291The Investment Manager Services Division (IMS) at SEI is growing rapidly and is seeking new members on our Alternative Investment Funds team. The Private Equity Assistant Manager in the alternative investment fund department is responsible for fully supporting the Fund Accounting Manager in the day to day aspects of managing a Fund Accounting team, and for supervising and assisting the staff with the daily\\weekly\\monthly functions of the alternative investment funds department. You must supervise the staff and enforce the standards set for them. You will also be responsible for training new employees and for ensuring premier client service standards are achieved within specified deadlines and according to best practices.**What you will do:*** Your skills in accounting will be used by pricing and maintaining timely records for hedge and private equity holdings using various external pricing resources. You will perform timely reconciliations regarding Net Asset Values and provide accounting reports. You are responsible to communicate the transactions associated with the fund(s) and work closely with internal and external clients to provide accurate and thorough accounting packages.* As the record keeper for the fund, you will be involved in the coordination and support of various year-end audit engagements in accordance with GAAP accounting standards. We will need you to perform due-diligence to ensure clients are in compliance with government laws and regulations.* You will train and supervise the accounting analysts on systems, processing, procedures, and job responsibilities. You will assist in managing a team environment that encourages self-motivation, organization and drive to complete multiple client deliverables in a timely manner without sacrificing excellence or quality. Your due diligence and attention to detail during the review process of the fund accountant analysts work will be key to your team’s success while striving for error free reconciliations and reporting.* You will correspond with external investment managers regarding day-to-day fund inquiries including reconciliations, coordinating scheduled deliverables, and escalation concerns.
