Job summary

UMB is seeking a Fund Accountant - Alternative Investments to support all accounting, bookkeeping, and reporting for our fund clients. You will learn advanced tasks, increase client contact, and help train peers.

Responsibilities include performing general ledger activities in Excel and UMB systems, pricing securities, and reconciling accounts, plus preparing client statements and responding to investor inquiries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or International Business.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting systems.
• Experience with general ledger accounting and financial reporting.
• Ability to interact with clients and manage communications.

Responsibilities

• Operate Excel and UMB accounting systems to perform general ledger accounting.
• Enter trade information, price securities, and reconcile accounts.
• Prepare client financial statements and reports for investors.
• Interact with clients to address requests and correspondence.
