We have an exciting opportunity for a Fund Accountant with a prominent and well-regarded private equity/real estate firm headquartered in San Francisco. This firm is growing rapidly and expanding their Fund Accounting & Investor Reporting team. If you have been working in public accounting or within industry (private equity, venture capital, real estate, financial services, or related area) and would like to continue your career in fund accounting, this role presents itself as a solid step on your growth path. The team is nimble and strong.

Hybrid Schedule (3 days/week) in Downtown SF, very close to public transportation.

About the Role:

The Fund Accountant supports the Fund Accounting team with the monthly, quarterly and annual close process, as well as supporting the year end tax/audit cycle.

• Facilitate monthly/annual close
• Assist with month end journal entries
• Assist with internal & investor reporting
• Ensure accurate fund records through reconciliation’s and reporting
• Calculate daily market value of portfolio holding
• Complete month-end reporting requirements
• Ad hoc reporting

What You’ll Bring:

• BS/BA degree in Accounting (preferred) or similar discipline
• 3+ years experience in Real Estate, Asset Management, Venture Capital, or Private Equity (Very open to profiles coming straight out of public accounting as well as in Tax)
• Must have experience in Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Working knowledge of Partnership/Fund Accounting concepts
• An ambition to progress in your career
• A positive attitude to take on new skills and get the job done
