Responsibilities

• Review fund expenses and allocations; prepare capital calls and distributions.
• Handle fund entity filings; assist with annual audits and tax work.
• Serve as internal contact for fund data requests from Investor Relations.
• Maintain the finance calendar, deadlines and open-item trackers.

Cross Creek is an independently owned venture capital firm founded in 2006 and based in Salt Lake City, Utah. Through both its direct investment and fund investment strategies the firm invests in high-quality late-stage companies and top-tier venture capital funds. The firm has over $1 billion in assets under management.

Cross Creek is searching for a full-time Fund Accountant to support fund operations for Cross Creek's funds. Fund accounting is outsourced to an administrator, so our in-house team owns treasury, controls, fund operations and review rather than production bookkeeping.

Specific responsibilities for this role include:

• Run daily cash and review bank activity; maintain the cash sheet and LP transaction tracker; monitor expected receipts
• Set up fund wires and banking recipients/templates
• Verbally confirm and document new or changed wire instructions
• Provide line of credit (LOC) support, including compliance and reporting
• Perform initial review of fund expenses and allocations
• Prepare capital calls, distributions
• Handle fund entity filings (CT Corporation, Delaware taxes, state registrations)
• Assist with annual audits and tax work
• Serve as the primary internal contact for fund data requests from Investor Relations
• Maintain the finance calendar, deadlines and open-item trackers

Minimum Required Experience and Skills:

• 1 – 2 years in accounting, audit, fund administration, treasury or fund operations
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field
• Hands-on experience with reconciliation processes
• Detail-oriented with good control instincts
• Comfortable working on a small team
• Current authorization to work in the U.S. Cross Creek is unable to sponsor work visas currently.
