Job Description: Functional Tester – Automotive Domain

Location: Mountain View, CA (Onsite)

Job Summary

We are looking for a Functional Tester with strong experience in mobile application testing, automotive/navigation testing, and simulators/emulators. The candidate must have hands-on experience with Android, iOS, Android Studio, and ADB commands, along with strong debugging, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities & Required Skills

• Perform functional/manual testing of mobile applications on Android and iOS using simulators and emulators.
• Strong knowledge of Android Studio, ADB commands, Android device debugging, and Unix commands.
• Experience with native Android application testing and UI, sanity, regression, integration, accessibility, exploratory, and compatibility testing.
• Write, review, and execute test cases based on requirements.
• Manage defect reporting, bug life cycle, release cycles, and test reports.
• Communicate testing progress, issues, and results effectively with stakeholders.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills, with a solid understanding of testing methodologies.
• Experience with Jira or other defect-tracking tools is beneficial.
• Mac/Linux experience is an added advantage.

Driving & Travel Requirements

• Must possess a valid driver's license and be comfortable performing navigation/road testing while driving for a minimum of 2 hours daily.
• The client will provide the vehicle and cover fuel expenses.
• Occasional international travel may be required for testing; all approved travel-related expenses will be covered by the client.

Preferred Qualifications

• Automotive, vehicle, navigation, or simulator testing experience.
• Knowledge of GPS validation, maps, route planning, and navigation systems.
• Exposure to automotive infotainment (IVI), ADAS, or autonomous driving technologies.
• Experience testing native mobile applications across multiple devices and environments.
