Qualifications

• BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent with 7+ years in VLSI hardware design, or MS with 5+ years in VLSI hardware design
• Proficiency in hardware design and development, HDL languages, and programming (C, C++, Python)
• Knowledge of hardware failure modes and safety mechanisms
• Knowledge and/or application of Safety Analysis methodologies: FMEA, FMEDA, DFA
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain functional safety work products (Safety Plan, Safety Case)
• Lead safety analysis activities and produce FMEA, FMEDA, DFA artifacts
• Drive continual improvement initiatives to enhance functional safety practices
• Collaborate with product manager to establish functional safety requirements
• Assist project manager with safety activity planning, resource estimation, and safety training
• Support safety lead during functional safety assessments
