Job summary

Arm invites applications for a Principal Quality & Safety Engineer to join the Arm Global Standards and Compliance team. This role focuses on ISO 26262 and ISO/SAE 21434, supporting automotive SoC initiatives in Functional Safety and Automotive Cybersecurity across Arm's automotive and robotic products.

You will collaborate with engineering and business units to design, assess, and launch compliance strategies, refine development workflows, and assist external evaluations throughout development

Qualifications

• Experience in safety-critical semiconductor or SoC development.
• Knowledge of ISO 26262, ASPICE, IEC 61508, or similar standards.
• Experience supporting compliance, audits, and process improvements.
• Experience with functional safety and cybersecurity assessments and work products.

Responsibilities

• Support Automotive and Robotics programs from development through certification.

• Drive readiness for external assessments and conduct internal audits and reviews.

Your role plays a key part in establishing practical, scalable compliance strategies for ISO 26262 and ISO/SAE 21434, refining development workflows, aiding external evaluations, and implementing engineering methods across Arm's automotive and robotic products.

• Experience with Functional Safety and/or cybersecurity assessments and work products.
• Ability to work across technical and organizational boundaries in complex engineering environments.
• Strong communication, partner management, and problem‑solving skills.

Nice To Have

• Functional Safety auditor certification.
• Experience in cybersecurity compliance related to ISO/SAE 21434.

Salary Range

$249,900-$338,100 per year
