Job summary

System Safety seeks a Functional Safety Engineer to develop and implement safety systems for Electrified Mobility, ADAS/AD, and Connected Mobility. You will manage multiple projects and interact with customers directly.

You will apply ISO 26262 and related standards, perform safety analyses, and guide safety concepts from concept through testing, ensuring compliance and product safety throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science with safety focus.
• 1–5 years in systems, software, hardware, controls, or automotive engineering.
• 1 year in functional safety areas and ISO 26262 risk analysis experience.
• Experience with safety analyses (FTA, FMEA, FMEDA, DFA) across product lifecycles.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain safety plans aligned with customer programs.
• Create and review Item Definition, Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessments.
• Perform safety analyses (FTA, FMEA, FMEDA, DFA) and derive safety requirements.
• Support safety implementation at hardware and software levels and conduct reviews.
