Job summary

Satyam Ventures is seeking an experienced Functional Safety Engineer for the Michigan area. The role focuses on leading functional safety system development, ISO 26262 compliance, and SOTIF for autonomous driving subsystems. You will collaborate with hardware, software, design, and validation teams to ensure safety requirements are met.

Ideal candidates have 8–14 years of automotive safety experience and hold BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech/MS degrees. Immediate to 15 days notice period requested.

Qualifications

• 8–14 years of automotive functional safety experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering is required/preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of functional safety system requirements and functional decomposition for automotive systems.
• Review and approve HARA, Functional Safety Requirements, Technical Safety Requirements, and validation tests.
• Contribute to architectural decisions from a functional safety perspective across hardware and software.
• Review and approve Development Interface Agreement and other Functional Safety documents for suppliers and partners.
• Lead the development of functional safety processes and tools.
• Oversee the program Functional Safety readiness process and metrics.
• Lead development of SOTIF requirements for autonomous driving and core subsystems.
• Define the functional safety concept for system, hardware, and software per ISO 26262.
