The Source-to-Pay Global Process team in Maersk is looking for an experienced Function Product Owner with a very strong process transformation mindset to help accelerating the global roll-out of our Air & LCL based in either Pune or Chennai.

You will be part of an amazing team that work cross-functionally that understand that great process outcomes are a result of thinking in value streams and that the mental model is all about continuous improvement! You will also be playing a pivotal part in accelerating technology and platform development and implementation with the change and stakeholder engagements that come with this to deliver improved business outcomes.

Our new Functional Product Owner will work closely with multiple operational and financial stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as subject matter expert for AIR & LCL business. L&S processes / CW1 system

  • Strong understanding of SAP / S4 HANA functionality and configuration

  • Own and maintain process landscape; monitor, prioritize and optimize existing processes

  • Define business requirements (BRD) and related changes that support process solutions for NFTP

  • Provide input and designs solutions based on voice of customer, voice of process and best practices observed

  • Use agile and lean principles and practices in process designing/solutioning and continually align process performance with overall business goals

  • Create, manage and prioritizing process/product backlog

  • Capture and map user stories

  • Facilitate backlog grooming activities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders within Finance, Operations, and IT

  • Facilitate change and stakeholder management as part of our IT implementation across the process landscape

  • Defining key performance indicators, establishing targets within the processes, and reviewing performance at agreed intervals

  • Continuously scan the external / internal environment to benchmark, adopt best practices & generate transformation initiatives.

  • Determine and translate compliance needs (process & legal) into the processes for seamless execution

  • Provide support to the execution teams viz process related queries

  • Collaborate proactively/effectively with multiple stakeholders across geographies and functions

  • Design and mapping of the E2E processes in scope for the role including strong focus and ownership on risk management and building strong control environments

  • Able to create and measure the process maturity by qualitative and quantitative metrics such as process documentation (L5 SOP), Standardization, compliance & identify gaps, strengths, and opportunities for enhancement in business architecture.

  • AIR & LCL/ CW1 platform team

  • Area Delivery Teams (Countries and GSC)

Skill Set

  • 8-10 years of work experience in Operations / Delivery / Accounting & Finance, preferably as process manager (or in a similar role)

  • Good understanding of Logistics and supply chain management

  • Experience with SAP system/CW1/S4, Excel, ARIS and PowerPoint

  • Familiarity with Scrum/Agile is a plus
