Job summary

A leading healthcare company is seeking a Functional Product Analyst to enhance product management through collaboration with stakeholders and analysis. The ideal candidate will contribute to Agile processes, conduct data analysis, and develop business cases. A bachelor's degree and three years of experience in analysis are required. Job Summary

Supports analytical aspects of the product management lifecycle within a sub‑product scope. Collaborates with customers and business stakeholders to understand needs, identify opportunities, create business cases, translate high‑level needs into detailed requirements, perform research, analyze data, and recommend process improvements. Prioritizes capabilities in the backlog, conducts root‑cause analysis, verifies delivery, manages risks, and incorporates market trends to drive product strategy. Mentors junior resources and uses deep functional knowledge to guide delivery across the product management lifecycle.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Work with customers, stakeholders, vendors, designers, IT delivery partners, and team members to capture capability needs and drive quality business solutions; create and maintain deliverables such as business vision, requirements, personas, journey maps, roadmaps, KPIs, and delivery plans.
  • Participate in the full product management life cycle using Agile, Scrum, Kanban, or similar practices to manage requirements, delivery plans, backlog prioritization, testing, prototyping, and acceptance criteria.
  • Support business analysis, requirements definition and documentation, user testing, traceability, and full capability delivery (e.g., acceptance test plans, scenarios, defect management) to minimize production defects.
  • Communicate with team members, customers, partners, and management; conduct requirement walkthroughs and sprint reviews, report status, and govern delivery of in‑house and vendor solutions with accurate documentation.
  • Participate in sprint planning and reviews to ensure alignment with customer needs and business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with required standards and obtain all necessary approvals throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Other duties as assigned or requested.
Education
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
Substitutions
  • Six years of related and progressive experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
Experience
Required
  • Three years in a Business Analysis and/or Analyst role.
Preferred
  • One year with Lean/Six Sigma or Process Improvement.
  • One year in the Health Insurance Industry.
  • One year in the Healthcare Industry.
  • Experience with Healthcare Interoperability.
  • SQL experience and skillset.

Pay Range

Minimum: $57,700.00

Maximum: $107,800.00

Base pay is determined by a variety of factors including a candidate’s qualifications, experience, and expected contributions, as well as internal peer equity, market, and business considerations. The displayed salary range does not reflect any geographic differential Highmark may apply for certain locations based upon comparative markets.
