Waterville Public Schools is seeking an Educational Technician I for the Functional Life Skills program at Brookside Elementary School. You will support students with diverse learning needs, assist teachers, implement IEPs, and help develop essential academic, social, and daily living skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Appropriate Department of Education Authorization.
• Experience working with children in educational settings.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work with computers and educational technologies.
• Ability to follow multi-step directions.

Responsibilities

• Works with individuals or small groups to provide instructional support under teacher supervision.
• Maintains a safe environment through consistent communication with students and staff.
• Follows student plans and approved techniques in written plans.
• Records and summarizes student observations as directed.
• Applies classroom rules, materials, and assignments consistently.
• Uses educational technology to document and support learning.
• Keeps timely records of student work and progress.
• Prepares calendars, bulletin boards, and instructional materials as directed.
• Alerts teachers to changes in student behavior and adjusts interventions as needed.
• Directs student use of equipment and materials.
• Performs other duties as assigned by administrator or teacher.
