WOODLAND ELEMENTARY in Fairview, Oregon invites an Educational Assistant to join the Special Education team. The role focuses on providing instructional support and helping students access general education settings with certified teachers.

The position requires experience with students, bilingual capability preferred, and the ability to assist with lesson planning, data collection, and behavior support plans. Immediate start; 7.5 hours daily on a full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• Must have HS diploma or equivalent.
• Equivalent of 2 years of college (AA or 60 credits) or PARA Pro/Work Keys.
• Bilingual candidates preferred; district languages include Spanish, Russian, Chinese, Vietnamese, Arabic, Somali.
• Experience working with students is expected.
• Ability to type accurately and use office machines and AV equipment.

Responsabilités

• Assist the teacher in instruction and support of students at varying levels of need.
• Instruct students in groups or individually.
• Monitor and document student progress; provide input on lesson planning and evaluating results.
• Assist with preparing teaching materials and grading papers as needed.
• Provide health-related assistance and support personal care needs when assigned for students with special needs.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement behavior support plans and data collection.
