Job description

InVitro Cell Research (ICR) is dedicated to solving some of the most challenging problems in aging and age‑related disease. We're looking for talented scientists to join our Functional Genomics group. Tasked with going "from SNP to phenotype," our Functional Genomics scientists connect genomic variants with organismic‑level symptoms through molecular, cellular, tissue and animal models.

With ICR, you'll get to:
  • Research the potential functional impact of any given SNP on protein or cellular function: from RNA to protein to cell to systems‑level analysis including work on known disease‑associated SNPs and VUSs in the context of various human primary and iPSC‑derived cell types
  • Project manage out‑sourced work with CROs to maximize your productivity
  • Collaborate with other ICR scientists and groups, including Translational Bioinformatics and Genomics, to solve complex human medical mysteries
  • Identify potentially actionable targets for therapeutic development
Please apply if you have:
  • PhD in Biomedical Sciences
  • In‑depth knowledge of and experience with modern molecular and cellular biology techniques
  • Experience with iPSCs and iPSC differentiation protocols preferred, but mammalian cell culture experience is a must
  • Experience creating and validating stem cell‑derived disease models
  • Programming experience (R and Python)
  • Even if you don't have all of these skills, please apply
And you'll need:
  • The ability to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • To have an easy‑going, hard‑working personality

The compensation ranges listed below are starting ranges.

Starting base salary range: $135,000/yr - $175,000/yr
