Vertex invites motivated students to join the Functional Genomics Co-op for six months in Boston. You’ll work on gene editing projects, develop assays, and analyze data, collaborating across teams to advance therapeutic programs.

This full-time paid internship runs January through June 2027. You must be enrolled in a master’s or PhD program, have hands-on human cell culture experience, and be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Formación

• Currently pursuing a master’s or PhD in Biology or related field.
• Hands-on experience with human cell culture is required.
• Familiarity with PCR and cloning methods is required.
• Strong interest in genetics and gene-editing technologies.
• Experience with flow cytometry is highly preferred.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsabilidades

• Contribute to study planning and oversee experimental activities.
• Collaborate with Vertex scientists to conduct experiments and analyze data.
• Maintain accurate records in electronic lab notebook.
• Present results clearly to the team and project partners.
