A Functional Family Therapist is expected to provide services for families in the home, school, and community, which are designed to, (1) ensure safety and stability of the child to promote successful functioning in the home, school and community; (2) avert treatment in a residential or inpatient setting; (3) strengthen family functioning; and (4) assist students in achieving optimal benefits from their education. The FFT Therapist will also coordinate delivery of clinical services to families with other team members and community providers..
Working knowledge of Word 98 system or above and e-mail communication.
Must be able to work under stress with multiple tasks with minimal supervision, interfacing with all levels of professional and support personnel.
Ability to respond to constant change and demands from external sources.
Able to make adjustment to internal operations, including guidance and support of staff.
Must be able to handle distressed individuals, in person or on the phone.
Ability to respond quickly and with good judgment in emergency situations.
Requires flexibility and adaptability to change.
