Job summary

Four Oaks Enterprise in Tama or Marshall County (Cedar Rapids area) seeks a Functional Family Specialist to assess client interactions, develop interventions based on a treatment plan, and monitor progress through weekly home-based family therapy sessions.

The role focuses on caseload management of 10–15 families, 8–26 week engagements, and coordination with schools and medical teams to support discharge planning and ongoing case management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, sociology, social work, human services, criminal justice or related field.
• Prior experience in family therapy or youth services preferable but not required.
• Ability to assess client interactions and formulate interventions based on treatment plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide a minimum of one-hour weekly, home-based family therapy sessions.
• Handle a caseload of 10 to 15 families, providing services anywhere from eight to 26 weeks.
• Facilitate community resource planning, case progress evaluation & permanency planning.
• Participate in discharge planning & documentation.
• Interface with school, medical & psychiatric contacts, referring worker and collaterals.
• Collaborate with stakeholders for case management.
