Job Description:

• The Functional Architect is the technical expert for an application.
• As an application expert, the functional architect must be able to configure the application to meet the needs of the business.
• The Functional Architect is responsible for understanding the enterprise, business system, and industry to support or interface with the application. The primary responsibility is to provide expertise in the business process supported by the application, review designs, recommend improvements, and guide testing.
• The Functional Architect helps programmers understand business functional requirements, creates or reviews functional designs.
• The role requires a comprehensive understanding of the specific application(s) and underlying business processes.
• More experienced architects plan, analyze, and define high-level software strategies and solutions.
• Assist in defining technical requirements and long-term plans to meet customer needs.
• Education: 4-year college degree or equivalent technical study.
• OnBase Certification is required.
• Experience with OnBase system implementations and data migrations.
• Knowledge of OnBase configuration, administration, workflows, and Unity Client functionality.
• Analyze, document, and define functional requirements; support business requirements with application design.
• Conduct impact analyses, collaborate with infrastructure/development teams, gather user requirements, and lead application design and development.
• Design, develop, test, and debug OnBase applications; contribute to test planning and ensure quality standards.
• Communicate status updates effectively, work well in teams, and possess strong communication skills.
• Act as the application’s functional expert, providing guidance on business processes, architecture, and infrastructure.
• Plan and develop user interface strategies, interpret user requirements, and identify risks and issues.
