Job summary

Greenfield-Central Community School Corporation is seeking an Instructional Assistant for Functional Academics at Maxwell Intermediate School. Under the supervision of a certified staff member, you will assist students with reading, language arts, math, and computer instruction to support instructional goals.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent is required.
Prior experience working with special needs students is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist students with reading, language arts, mathematics, and computer instruction to reinforce learning.
Work with students individually and in small groups to implement assigned programs.
Assist teacher with classroom preparations and record-keeping of student learning and performance.
Assist with parent contact to foster effective involvement in education.
Help with classroom behavioral management to minimize disruptions and maintain safety.
Supervise students in non-instructional areas as needed and accompany on field trips.
