Kids Science Labs ("KSL"), the leader in hands-on science education, is hiring for our upcoming camps. We are looking for talented team members to join us as we inspire the next generation of creative thinkers and leaders.

Our #1 ranked STE(A)M Camps provide hands-on science experiences to students ages 4-12. Our summer camps feature creative design projects, problem solving, and inspiring classes from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 3 pm, with some extended day options. Work with a great team and students who love learning and innovating. This position will be IN-PERSON in Chicago, Northbrook, or Seattle, for at least 10 weeks from June 9 to August 22.

If you are a teacher, college student, artist, or childcare professional, we encourage you to apply. KSL offers a challenging and rewarding experience, providing training and tools to help you become a better innovator, problem solver, and leader, all while laughing, engaging, and having fun each day with students.

  • Must be available 8 am - 4 pm, for at least 10 weeks, and genuinely interested in supporting the growth of future creative thinkers. Ability to work at any of our locations in Chicago or Seattle is required.
Requirements
  • Enjoy engaging with and adapting to children
  • Ability to manage or assist in managing a classroom
  • BS/BA degree completed or in progress (preferably in art, science, communication, early childhood education, theatre, or psychology)
  • Positive attitude and a friendly demeanor
  • Ability to operate in a dynamic and creative environment
  • Enthusiasm for teaching and learning
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Alignment with Kids Science Labs' mission and values
  • Team-oriented mindset
  • Ability to pass a full background check
Benefits
  • We believe that curiosity can change the world, and our goal is to teach kids how. We will coach you on applying innovation, design, and creativity to everyday challenges to help kids become better problem solvers.
  • We welcome applicants from various backgrounds—students, nannies, traditional teachers, artists, theatre majors, music educators, child psychology majors—who love helping kids learn. Training programs are available for those outside the education industry.
Roles and Responsibilities

Our teachers and team members are vital to our success. You will inspire and enable thousands of kids daily through engaging, hands-on science classes and electives in art, critical thinking, problem solving, LEGO design, and general science. The work is both challenging and rewarding, involving working in a progressive classroom environment focused on skill-building for long-term success. Build lifelong friendships with colleagues and students alike.
