Kids Science Labs is seeking enthusiastic camp teachers for their hands-on science educational camps. This role involves inspiring children ages 4-12 through creative and engaging science experiences, promoting critical thinking, and fostering a positive learning environment. If you are passionate about education and creativity, this is a rewarding opportunity to make an impact in a supportive team setting.
Kids Science Labs (“KSL”), the leader in hands-on science education, is hiring for our upcoming camps. We are looking for talented team members to join us as we inspire the next generation of creative thinkers and leaders.
Our #1 ranked STE(A)M Camps provide hands-on science experiences to students ages 4-12. Our summer camps offer creative design projects, problem solving, and inspiring classes, Monday to Friday, 9am-3pm, with some extended day support. Work with a great team and students who love learning and innovating. This position will be IN-PERSON in Chicago, Northbrook, or Seattle, for at least 10 weeks from June 9 to August 22.
If you are a teacher, college student, artist, or childcare professional, we encourage you to apply. KSL offers a challenging and rewarding experience, providing training and tools to help you become a better innovator, problem solver, and leader, all while engaging and having fun with students each day.
Requirements include availability from 8am-4pm, at least 10 weeks, and a sincere interest in supporting the growth of young creative thinkers. You must be able to work at any of our locations in Chicago or Seattle.
Why Kids Science Labs?
We believe that curiosity can change the world, and our goal is to teach kids how. We will coach you on applying innovation, design, and creativity to everyday challenges to help kids become better problem solvers.
We value great teachers everywhere—whether you're a student, nanny, or educator—if you can communicate well, engage kids, and provide excellent customer service to families and teachers, we want to hear from you. We also offer training programs for those outside the traditional education industry, including artists, theatre majors, music educators, and child psychology majors who love helping kids learn.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Our teachers and team members are vital to our success. You will inspire and engage children through hands-on science classes and electives in art, critical thinking, problem solving, LEGO design, and general science.
While the work is fun and engaging, it is also challenging and rewarding. It involves working in a progressive classroom environment focused on building fundamental skills that benefit kids—and yourself—in the long term. Build lifelong friendships with fellow teachers, camp counselors, and team leads.
