Job summary

Breakout Games in Pittsburgh seeks energetic Game Masters to greet guests and guide each experience with enthusiasm. You will introduce the adventure, run games, and help guests throughout the session to ensure everyone has a memorable escape.

As a team-focused role, you’ll provide helpful clues, celebrate guest wins, and reset rooms between sessions while maintaining a positive atmosphere for players of all ages.

Qualifications

• Love puzzles, riddles, and/or escape rooms.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Clear and effective communication.
• Basic computer and email skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and introduce their experience.
• Run games and manage game flow for guests.
• Provide helpful clues and cues when guests ask for help.
• Celebrate wins and keep a positive, encouraging atmosphere.
• Reset rooms for the next group.
• Interact with guests in person and over the phone as needed.

As a Game Master you’ll:

• Have fun every day!
• Be part of a team
• Greet guests and give an exciting introduction to their experience
• Run games for guests
• Give helpful clues and cues when guests ask for help
• Celebrate wins with guests and remain positive and encouraging regardless of their escape success
• Help to create lasting memories with groups
• Reset rooms for the next escape artists
• Speak with guests in-person and over the phone
• Perform other day-to-day functions as directed by the General Manager

You’re a good fit if you have these qualities:

• Love puzzles, riddles, and/or escape rooms
• Problem solving skills
• Effective communication skills (can articulate yourself well)
• Basic technology skills (computer skills, emailing, etc.)
• Dependable and respectful
• Can sit for extended periods of time and focus for up to an hour at a time
• Can lift 30 lbs., reach, squat, kneel, climb a ladder, etc.
