Job description

Fully Remote Part Time Psychiatrist

Compensation Up To $170.00 Hourly

The Psychiatrist provides comprehensive psychiatric and medication management services while authorizing and overseeing treatment plans for Chrysalis Health clients. This role involves developing and updating medication management policies, including protocols for over-the-counter medications, and reviewing client documentation related to medication distribution. As a key member of the treatment team, the Psychiatrist provides leadership, guidance, and support to staff, ensuring high-quality care aligned with Chrysalis Health’s mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver timely medication management and prescriptions for clients.
  2. Explain medication benefits, risks, and alternatives to clients, families, and staff.
  3. Assess client responses to prescribed medications and order necessary tests.
  4. Conduct training sessions on psychiatric and medication management.
  5. Collaborate with primary care physicians to supervise psychotropic treatments when indicated.
  6. Maintain thorough and accurate client records.
  7. Provide supervision to nurse practitioners employed by Chrysalis Health.
  8. Adhere to all Chrysalis Health policies and procedures.
  9. Exhibit professionalism during all interactions, even in high-pressure situations.
  10. Engage effectively with diverse groups and individuals experiencing psychiatric, substance use, or medical challenges.
  11. Represent Chrysalis Health positively in the community, both in-person and in written communication.
  12. Respond promptly and professionally to correspondence and phone inquiries (within 24 hours or the next business day).
  13. Participate in special assignments during emergencies (e.g., hurricanes, pandemics).

Qualifications/Requirements:

  1. Graduate of an accredited medical school with completed psychiatric residency and child psychiatry fellowship.
  2. Licensed and board-certified/board-eligible medical doctor (per Chapter 458 or 469 F.S.).
  3. Valid medical license certified by the Ohio State Medical Board.
  4. Minimum 2 years of experience in Psychiatry, with a specialty in Child and Adult Psychiatry.
  5. Knowledge of psychiatric principles and best practices.
  6. Proficient with HRIS management systems.
  7. Possession of a valid Medicaid Provider Number and appropriate malpractice insurance.
  8. Compliance with all clearance and annual training requirements.
