Job description

Vindara Health is a pioneering, clinician-led telehealth practice dedicated to delivering personalized, one-on-one care to individuals navigating complex, multi-system chronic illnesses. We specialize in diagnosing and treating conditions that are frequently misunderstood or underserved, including Long COVID, ME/CFS, POTS/dysautonomia, and MCAS. Our co-founder and Chief Medical Officer is David Kaufman, MD, one of the world’s leading clinicians in this field. As a nimble, rapidly growing core team, we focus on innovative, evidence-based clinical care, with longitudinal data aggregation and interpretation. We have a robust, active patient waitlist across our initial target states and are seeking our first full-time clinical hire to help scale our impact.

We are looking for an intellectually curious, digitally fluent, and deeply empathetic Nurse Practitioner. In this role, you will manage a dedicated panel of complex patients, collaborating directly with Dr. Kaufman to deliver comprehensive, individualized care.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Comprehensive clinical care: Conduct thorough virtual evaluations, establish complex differential diagnoses, and manage dynamic, long-term treatment plans for patients presenting with complex health needs.
  • Innovative protocol management: Comfortably utilize, titrate, and iterate off-label, evidence-based treatments, including Low-Dose Naltrexone (LDN), mast cell stabilizers, advanced dysautonomia medication protocols, and strict energy-envelope pacing strategies.
  • Patient advocacy & education: Deliver validation-first, trauma-informed care to patients who have experienced historical medical gaslighting. Provide education on pacing, dietary and environmental triggers, and lifestyle adaptations.
  • Tech-forward collaboration: Utilize our modern tools — including a custom telehealth platform and team communication tools — to maintain high-quality medical documentation and deliver seamless patient care.
  • Startup co-creation: Provide direct feedback to the executive team (CEO, CTO, and CMO) to help optimize our proprietary clinical workflows, communication and education delivery tools, and digital platform features.
ROLE DETAILS
  • Full-time, W-2, 100% remote within the United States
  • Reporting to and collaborating directly with our Chief Medical Officer
  • A dedicated panel of patients with multi-system chronic illness, cared for over time — not one-off consults
  • Patient coverage across Colorado, Washington, Arizona, and Utah
  • No on-call
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
  • Education and experience: Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) graduate from an accredited school of nursing, or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) graduate from an accredited school of nursing with at least five years of clinical experience required.
  • Certification: Current AANP or ANCC board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP), or Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP).
  • Licensure: Active APRN license and prescribing authority in at least two of our active states — Colorado, Washington, Arizona, or Utah — is highly preferred. Must be eligible and willing to obtain expedited licensure in the remaining target states.
  • Clinical focus: Demonstrated experience, advanced training, or an intense clinical interest in managing complex chronic conditions, including dysautonomia, immunological disorders, or infection-associated chronic conditions.
  • Digital literacy: Extreme comfort with modern SaaS tools, cloud-based EMRs, and telehealth platforms. Ability to independently navigate and adapt to evolving software interfaces in a remote environment.
  • Mindset: A self-starter who thrives in an autonomous environment, values clinical validation as a core therapeutic tool, and remains comfortable navigating clinical ambiguity.
YOU'LL THRIVE HERE IF YOU
  • Are warm and compassionate, you love solving problems and delivering longitudinal care with patients, and you're self-directed. Things will change as we grow, and you're comfortable with that.
  • Are passionate about complex chronic illness and frustrated by how these patients are treated in conventional care.
  • Want to deliver care with more time and the right tools, rather than fighting insurance companies and charting systems.
  • Are curious, open to feedback, and want to keep learning.
  • Enjoy building things — protocols, processes, and a clinical team.
  • Are comfortable in a small, early-stage environment with evolving workflows.
  • Can work autonomously and take ownership of your patient panel.
THIS MIGHT NOT BE FOR YOU IF YOU
  • Prefer a highly structured environment with established processes — you'll be helping build ours.
  • Want a lot of guidance and management in your role — we'll learn from each other, but we need someone who can work autonomously.
  • Don't like ambiguity — we're early-stage, and projects and priorities will shift.
  • Are looking for a large clinical team around you from day one — we're a small team that is growing.
  • Aren't comfortable giving direct feedback — we want you to flag when something should be done differently.
BENEFITS & COMPENSATION
  • Fully remote flexibility with a supportive, flat executive structure, and a mission-driven culture focused on deep, unhurried, one-on-one patient care.
  • $130,000 – $150,000 annually, commensurate with experience, plus performance incentives tied to panel growth.
  • Monthly health insurance stipend.
  • Eligibility to contribute to a 401(k).
  • 3 weeks paid time off annually.
  • 9 paid federal holidays annually.
  • No on-call.
  • White-glove licensing, credentialing, and DEA registration support, with licensure reimbursement.
  • Malpractice insurance, including tail coverage.
  • UpToDate and Epocrates subscriptions.
  • Annual continuing education stipend.
  • Paid days for conferences.
  • Laptop, monitor, and peripherals provided.
  • Monthly work-from-home internet stipend.
