DataAnnotation is seeking an experienced Data Scientist - AI Trainer to evaluate and benchmark AI systems focused on quantitative reasoning and real-world validity. The role combines technical assessment, problem design for training and benchmarking, and clear documentation that informs the next iteration of models.

The position is remote within the United States, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand, with hourly pay and USD 50 to 100 per hour.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in a quantitative role or research environment.
• Coding experience and ability to write end-to-end analytical code.
• Experience with statistical methods, modeling, and experiment design (A/B, hypothesis testing, time-series).
• Fluent English with strong writing skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field; Master’s/PhD a plus.
• Kaggle rankings or cloud ML credentials are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assess AI-generated quantitative work for technical accuracy and real-world validity.
• Design and solve quantitative problems for training and benchmarking AI systems across forecasting, experimental analysis, optimization, and inference.
• Produce clear technical explanations and maintain well-documented analytical code.
• Deliver feedback to shape future AI models for quantitative reasoning.
