I am recruiting a motivated PhD student to join my research group at Texas State University in Fall 2027. The position is fully funded.
Our research focuses on understanding and predicting how hydrologic variability, climate change, and human activities influence river and stream ecosystems. The selected student will focus primarily on quantitative hydrology, including watershed modeling, flow-regime analysis, and statistical approaches, with opportunities to connect these investigations to freshwater biodiversity and ecosystem functioning.
Applicants should have a background in hydrology, water resources engineering, environmental science, earth sciences, ecology, or a related discipline. Experience with hydrologic modeling, GIS, R, Python, or statistical analysis is desirable. Applicants with strong quantitative skills and an interest in interdisciplinary research are particularly encouraged to apply.
