Director Data Management
We’re seeking a Director of Data Management in Cambridge, MA with Prometrika, LLC.
Job Summary: The Director, Data Management will establish and maintain data management service capabilities for the organization, ensuring adherence to company quality standards, cGCP compliance, and efficient day‑to‑day operations.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement systems and procedures to meet service needs and comply with quality and cGCP standards.
- Recruit, supervise, and manage personnel at all levels of the Data Management department.
- Ensure compliance through training programs for Data Management personnel and external contractors.
- Collaborate with CEO and Business Development to identify business opportunities and estimate resource needs and costs.
- Work with Project Management, CEO, and Business Development to track and prepare contract amendments and additional service costs.
- Coordinate with functional areas to develop operational strategies for new projects, translating objectives into working plans.
- Deploy resources to new projects and communicate business/client objectives to key personnel.
- Provide oversight and support so personnel meet objectives efficiently.
- Coordinate all Data Management activities, resolve resource conflicts, and provide status reports.
- Interface with functional areas to proactively resolve issues or delays affecting study completion.
- Ensure profitability across the department, including budget management, expense control, direct labor utilization, process and technology efficiencies, resource management, labor rate to bill rate multiples, and overall performance management.
Qualifications
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to multi‑task.
- Demonstrated ability to procure, manage, and control project resources; project management training preferred.
- Strong problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with representatives from a range of scientific disciplines.
- Solid understanding of the drug development process.
- Knowledge of federal regulatory requirements and guidelines for Good Clinical Practice.
- Proficiency with PCs, Microsoft Office, project management software, and relevant Data Management tools.
- Experience leading and supervising managerial personnel and mentoring on managerial competencies.
Education & Experience
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline; graduate degree preferred.
- At least fifteen (15) years in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, with at least five (5) years in a directorial position.
- History of responsibility for directing a data management department.
