Udacity is looking for a passionate and experienced Fullstack Engineer to join our dynamic team, focusing on advancing AI-driven translations for the Japanese market. Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain robust, scalable translation tools leveraging cutting-edge AI technologies.
2. Build seamless frontend experiences using React, optimized for clarity and usability in the Japanese context.
3. Design and implement reliable backend services using Go or Node.js, ensuring performance, scalability, and maintainability.
4. Collaborate closely with product managers, AI researchers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver exceptional localization solutions.
5. Continuously explore, test, and adopt advanced AI development tools like Cursor, Claude Code, or similar technologies to accelerate product development and innovation.

Qualifications:

1. Fluency in Japanese and English.
2. Strong fullstack engineering skills, specifically React and Go/Node.js.
3. Substantial experience with AI tools and frameworks (Cursor, Claude Code).
4. Passionate about creating user-centric solutions tailored to the Japanese market.
5. A self-driven learner with a love for innovative technologies and building impactful products.

Preferred:

1. Prior experience working on localization or internationalization projects, particularly related to the Japanese market.
2. Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud).
3. Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Location:

While this is a remote role, applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States of America on a full-time basis.

Compensation:

The maximum base pay for this position is $160,000, depending on experience and location.
