Pelico is seeking a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer to build an agentic platform that connects factory data to AI agents. You will ship end-to-end agent capabilities, harden runtime execution, and craft a trustworthy React console for real-time interactions and approvals.

• Proven track record shipping software with full-stack Python backend and React frontend, or ability to reach quickly.

Responsibilities

• Implement end-to-end features from orchestration backend through the React console with production-ready functionality.
• Harden runtime behavior: durable execution, retries, scheduling, and human-in-the-loop approvals.
• Build evaluation harnesses to detect regressions in agent behavior before release.
• Implement real-time streaming UIs showing agent events, tool calls, and approvals.
• Define and maintain frontend/backend contracts and establish reusable patterns and standards.

Role

Pelico is hiring a founding Fullstack Software Engineer to build an agentic platform used by large manufacturers. You will ship end-to-end agent capabilities, harden durable runtime execution, and build a trustworthy React console for real-time agent interactions and approvals.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement end-to-end features from tools/MCP and orchestration backend through to the React console, delivering production-ready functionality for customers.
• Harden runtime behavior: durable execution, retries, scheduling, and human-in-the-loop approvals for agent actions with real consequences.
• Build and expand evaluation harnesses (scenario evaluations, LLM-as-judge) to detect regressions in agent behavior before release.
• Implement real-time streaming UIs that surface agent events, tool calls, and approvals reliably.
• Define and maintain frontend/backend contracts, write specs other engineers build against, and establish reusable patterns and craft standards.

Requirements

• Proven track record shipping software; experience full-stack across a Python backend and a React frontend, or the ability to get there quickly.
• Strong engineering rigor with non-deterministic systems: specify and evaluate before shipping, own production behavior, and follow issues into production.
• AI-native mindset: familiarity with agent frameworks, tools, and evaluation practices; comfortable using AI coding tools.
• Comfortable working in fast-moving, ambiguous environments and iterating on evolving best practices.

Nice-to-have

• Direct experience with agent/AI products (MCPs, agent frameworks, evals).
• Experience with durable workflow engines (e.g., Temporal).
• Experience building streaming UIs and strong observability practices (e.g., OpenTelemetry).
• Familiarity with spec-driven development, multi-tenant SaaS, or domain experience in aerospace/defense/discrete manufacturing.
