Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience at tech and product-driven companies.
• Proficient with JavaScript, React, and other web technologies.
• Proficient with at least one backend language (we use Python).
• Experience with relational databases like Postgres/MySQL.
• Interest in AI/ML (direct experience not required).

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end development of internal tools to improve the safety of OpenAI’s models.
• Partner closely with researchers and engineers to understand workflows and requirements.
• Build full-stack experiences to support core model policy workflows.
• Optimize internal applications for usability and speed.
• Transform AI-assisted safety workflows into external-facing safety products.
