Job summary

Quanteam, the founding entity of RAINBOW PARTNERS, seeks an experienced Python developer for a front-office engineering role in New York. You’ll join the technology team behind a leading global bank’s Equity Derivatives trading desks to build proprietary platforms used for pricing, hedging, and real-time risk monitoring.

You will work on live market-data feeds, valuation models, and analytics with some front-end work in Angular.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of expert-level Python in a trading/markets environment.
• Strong, hands-on understanding of equity derivatives: vol, Greeks, pricing models.
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Financial Engineering, or related field.
• Experience resolving production incidents during market hours.
• Comfortable translating business needs to technical solutions with traders.
• Linux knowledge; PostgreSQL/SQL; CI/CD tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design and build Python services powering live market-data feeds and pricing/booking logic.
• Support hedging automation, intraday risk monitoring, and P&L attribution engines.
• Develop research and simulation libraries exposed via internal tooling and a web portal.
• Build back-end services for batch processing, job orchestration, and alerting.
• Contribute to CI/CD tooling as part of platform modernization.
• Collaborate with traders and risk managers to deliver enhancements without breaking workflows.
• Migrate ad-hoc scripts into audited, versioned pipelines.
• Provide live production support during trading hours and facilitate fast-track releases.
• Shape platform roadmap around AI/ML-driven analytics.
