Responsibilities

• Own the architectural direction of the analytics layer for customer acquisition, onboarding, growth, and retention, including decisions about model structure, layering, and governance
• Identify and resolve upstream data quality issues, explain the business risks they create, and drive durable organizational changes
• Define canonical GTM metrics in the semantic layer with Data Services & Governance, ensuring RevOps, CS, CX, BI tools, and AI tooling use a shared source of truth
• Partner with senior commercial leadership to shape the questions worth answering
• Lead in-depth analysis of customer behaviour, commercial performance, and retention patterns
• Design and govern experimentation practices, ensuring statistical rigour, scalable methodology, and clear criteria for meaningful results
• Build analytics for self-serve and AI access that business teams, conversational analytics tools, and AI features can use autonomously
• Mentor and develop analysts through code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge-sharing
• Contribute to engineering and analytical standards across the data community through cross-team reviews and production-grade analytics practices

Требования:

• Prior experience operating at Staff or Lead level in data analytics or analytics engineering roles in a fast-paced SaaS organisation
• Expert knowledge of SQL and dbt, including writing clean, tested, well-architected models and defending layering decisions
• Proficiency with Python for data analysis and manipulation
• Experience with Git-based workflows and CI/CD practices for analytics code
• BigQuery fluency, including performance optimization and cost considerations at scale
• Mastery of a modern BI tool such as Looker or Omni
• Commercial analytics experience and understanding of GTM metrics, customer lifecycle economics, and how data connects to revenue outcomes
• Ability to identify root causes of data quality issues and drive lasting fixes
• Strong understanding of data contracts, including schema ownership, SLAs, and producer-consumer agreements
• Understanding of how analytics outputs serve AI tools and self-serve analytics, including designing for machine and human access and maintaining metric consistency
• Track record of advising senior GTM stakeholders, shaping questions, and communicating risks and trade-offs to non-technical leaders
• Experience mentoring analysts and raising team capability
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity, moving between technical work, stakeholder and delivery management, and governance strategy, and operating at senior leadership level
• Not a fit for candidates who prefer to specialise in one technical area, need clean problem definitions before starting, or see standards and governance as someone else’s responsibility
