Job summary

Eugene School District 4J in Eugene, Oregon seeks a full-time Special Education Teacher for the remainder of the 2026/27 school year. The position requires a TSPC license with a Special Education endorsement and offers a 14% Life Skills Teacher stipend.

You will collaborate with school personnel to design and adapt instructional programs for students with identified needs, focus on positive learning environments, and support IEP/504/TAG processes while coordinating with families and specialists.

Qualifications

• TEACHING LICENSE with Special Education endorsement required.
• Experience differentiating instruction for diverse populations.
• ESOL endorsement preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with district staff and specialists.
• Knowledge of IEP/504/TAG processes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with school personnel to design and adapt instructional programs for students with identified needs.
• Establish a positive learning environment and promote high achievement for all students.
• Lead functional assessments and develop Behavior Support Plans with student involvement.
• Use data-based instructional decisions to guide instruction and interventions.
• Implement and adapt IEP/504/TAG plans and transition activities.
• Communicate with parents/guardians and coordinate with Educational Support Services.
